Company name changed to Associated Consultancy and Technical Services Ltd

1985

Merger with Commercial Union, Associated Consultancy and Technical Services Ltd becomes a division of the newly formed Plant Safety Ltd.

1994

Management buyout from Plant Safety Ltd. Changed structure to Ltd Company as ACTS Partnership Ltd

Plant Safety Limited was established in 1983 as a quality assurance company owned by General Accident and Commercial Union and carried out quality assurance activities for the clients of both organisations. This included technical engineering inspection and design services for main shareholders, such as the mechanical and electrical design of iconic buildings such as Wellington Row (now the Aviva Building) in York and the A-listed Pitheavlis building in Perth.

Plant Safety Ltd was later bought and absorbed by Bureau Veritas, which provides quality assurance services to this day.

ACTS Partnership Ltd was formed in 1994 following a successful management buyout by several key staff members. Since then, we have established ourselves as industry-leading specialists in mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering consultancy.
