Annickbank

ACTS completed the detailed mechanical and electrical design for a newly built office pavilion at the Annickbank Innovation Campus in Irvine. Commissioned by North Ayrshire Council, the 350-square-metre building is set to attract small businesses specialising in the life sciences sector to this strategic development area.

It is the fifth office development at the campus, furthering the council's commitment to supporting business growth. The pavilion has been designed with flexible, self-contained floor plates that can accommodate bespoke office spaces.

Key features of the M&E design include electric hot water boilers, variable refrigerant flow units providing heating and cooling to the office spaces, and heat recovery units supplying mechanical ventilation.

A fully integrated security and access control system provides robust operational protection, while energy-efficient LED lighting ensures sustainability and cost savings. This new office pavilion exemplifies low-carbon, energy-efficient design, achieving an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of A+ and a platinum sustainability label.
